Welcome to the New Wall Street’s Best Investments

You’ll notice that we have a new name and a new look! Our website has been completely remodeled, and we are hard at work creating articles and videos featuring the latest market news and views, as well as opportunities to learn a bit more about just about any investment vehicle or strategy that you desire. Please stay tuned to cabotwealth.com to see our updates.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average seems to have calmed down somewhat, and actually posted gains of about 100 points since our last issue, with basic materials, consumer cyclical and technology stocks leading the way. Economic stats have helped, as housing starts improved more than expected, both initial and continuing unemployment claims came in lower than forecast, and the Michigan Sentiment, at 92.1, was higher than anticipated.

Advisor Sentiment--as you can see from our Barometer, as well as Market Views, has also turned more bullish--at least in the short-term. Investors and pros are all eagerly anticipating third-quarter earnings. So far, 58 companies have reported earnings, with 81% surpassing estimates, and 50% beating revenue forecasts.

Our Spotlight Stock this month is the leader in global communications and is on the precipice of some exciting new products that will take the industry to the next level. In my feature, I discuss the implications of those developments.

The more-positive economic and market environments led our contributors to a plethora of Growth stock recommendations this month, including companies in the retail, e-commerce, transportation, technology, beverage and biotech industries.

If you who like to add a little spice to your portfolios, you’ll find a couple of options in our Low-Priced stocks section.

Subscribers who like both Growth & Income won’t be disappointed with our grocery, energy and financial picks. And Value investors will find a wide variety of sectors covered, including a vacation lodging company, a financial conglomerate, a shoe and apparel manufacturer, a retailer, a grocer, a technology company and an industrial business.

Lastly, our Funds and ETF section offers healthcare, energy, global and contrarian selections.

We hope you enjoy this issue, and invite you to share your investment strategy questions and comments with us. And don’t forget to visit our website for a growing library of educational articles, videos and my blog.

Happy investing,
