I’m Tyler Laundon and I’m the chief analyst of Cabot Small-Cap Confidential. I’ve spent my entire career managing, consulting and analyzing start-up and small-cap companies. This hands-on experience has taught me that the development of a superior business model is the biggest factor in determining a company’s long-term success.

Accordingly, my research focuses on assessing the viability of management’s growth strategies, trends in addressable markets and achievement of major developmental milestones.

My small-cap portfolio favors a high allocation to stable, high growth companies, upon which I layer strategic purchases of higher risk, event-driven investments.

Many companies are pioneers in their areas of business. In many cases, they are creating whole new micro-industries, providing essential tools for an entire industry’s growth. Because these stocks have little or no institutional research coverage, you can acquire significant positions far more cheaply than if their stocks were widely followed.

In each issue of Cabot Small-Cap Confidential, you’ll get my in-depth analysis of a stock, including an overview of the industry, an examination of the company’s main product or service, an analysis of the competition, a recommended buy range and any other relevant details.

We publish the monthly issue on the first Thursday of each month.

On all other Thursdays, you’ll receive an email Update that reviews all our current stock recommendations, giving specific Strong Buy-Buy-Hold-Sell recommendations. When there’s some activity on our stocks on other days, I’ll send an Alert so you’ll always know exactly what I’m thinking.
