Our top ranked fund is the ishares Global Tech ETF IXN. It is $2.6 billion in size with a .47% expense ratio. Its top two holdings are Microsoft and Apple, which make up 28.4% of the portfolio.
Of the fund’s top 25 holdings, there is not a single looser year-to-date. The biggest YTD gains are registered to Shopify Inc., +72.6%; Xerox, 70.1%; Cadence Design Systems, 59.6%; IPG Photonics Corp, 54.2%; Lam Research, 53.1%; and Yaskawa Electric Corp, 52.7%.
The IXN portfolio gained 34.4% for the ranking period compared to the S&P 500 with dividends at 26%. Both had nearly the same Ulcer Index and Standard Deviation readings along with their max drawdowns of 55.7 and 55.2% on March 9, 2009.
