Long-time readers know that successful investing in small-cap stocks comes not from simply buying the right stocks but from buying them at the right time. Ideally, you buy on normal corrections, and take some profits when your stocks are overbought. Our September selection is unusual because it is rather overbought now; it made a lot of progress while we were putting together this report. But a correction will come, and savvy subscribers will wait for it. Important Update: Virage Logic (VIRL) and Synopsys (SNPS) finalized their previously announced acquisition, and Virage Logic is now part of Synopsys. While we hoped a white knight would ride into town with a higher bid, we did OK with a 49% return in five months. Next month’s stock candidate has great acquisition appeal as well!
