History doesn’t repeat, but it sure does rhyme, and that’s the reason why this years’ worth of wisdom is an invaluable resource for the serious investor.
Every word was written by Mike Cintolo and originally published in Cabot Market Letter (since renamed Cabot Growth Investor). Some of the articles pertain specifically to investment conditions at the time. But that makes them no less valuable than the timeless pieces, because it’s guaranteed that investment conditions will recur. They always do.
The period covered, from 2008 through 2013, was a challenging one for many investors, as it began with an economic collapse whose breadth affected virtually every segment of our world. Confidence was shattered. Yet the market rebounded, as it does after every economic collapse, and investors who had the courage to participate in those years, and to follow a disciplined system, like Mike’s, found great success.
This is not a book to be read at one sitting. The lessons are numerous, and there is no hurry. But if you pull it out from time to time, and absorb a few more lessons, I am confident it will improve your investment results in the future.
